Resilience First is delighted to present a timely webinar on the future direction of London's transport network, with TfL's Vernon Everitt, Managing Director, Customers, Communication and Technology.
Transport for London (TfL) is responsible for the transport system in Greater London - including London's roads and various rail networks (London Underground, London Overground, Docklands Light Railway and TfL Rail), as well as control of London's trams, buses, taxis, cycling provision and river services. TfL is also responsible, jointly with the Department for Transport, for commissioning the construction of the new Crossrail line, and will be responsible for franchising its operation once completed.
During the lockdown, TfL has faced numerous challenges, from huge drop in footfall and paid fares to having to maintain critical transport operations safely to enable keyworkers to get to work. As London moves towards the easing of lockdown, we look forward to hearing from Vernon Everitt on TfL’s recovery plans post the pandemic, the lessons learnt as well as the innovative ways London’s transport network system will evolve in light of demand for a #greenrecovery.
